A Little Bit of Everything
I love creating in all its forms . I love sharing in the process as well as encouraging others to find their inner Artist Child.
I am a naturally talented artist who loves to delve into how the creative process works and how others can develop their own abilities. As with anything in life, talent will only take you so far. By learning how the creative process works, and exploring the Elements and Principles of Design, I am constantly seeking to better my skills.
Just out of high school (in 1994) I met a muralist who showed me the ropes. I met other artists and worked both solo and with others to create murals, faux finishes, furniture refinishing and miscellaneous commissions and illustrations throughout the years.
I have a BA in Art Education, having graduated from CSU Sacramento, CA in 2006 and completed their single subject teaching credential program in 2008. After spending eight years bouncing between part time and long term middle school art substitute positions and becoming disenchanted with our current educational system I decided it was time to find something else.
Following my creative muse has always been a priority and though it may have left me in times of playing the 'Starving Artist' my life has always felt blessed.
